If you don’t believe me, check out their website for yourself, or better yet, drive by their studio at 8107 SE 16th Ave.  This is a beautiful home in Sellwood that provides an intimate retreat for your family.  At your photo shoot, you’ll feel so comfortable walking into this home, and you’ll be given your own room to get your clothes all ready and prep yourself and your family.  The rooms for photos are indoors in the winter months, but there are some lovely options outdoors for photos during warmer months.

Our two sessions have been with photographer Kim Campbell.  Each time, I marveled at how even-keeled she is even when our son was peeing on her props or when our kids were not cooperating.  Seriously, Kim is so pleasant and kind during the sessions, it’s almost like she becomes part of your family.  The same can be said about her assistants who surround her.  I’m sure they feel very lucky to be working with Kim.  When your photos are ready for review, you’ll be asked back to their studio viewing room, which has been the highlight of both our sessions.

For our first viewing session, we settled into their comfy sofa and the viewing room’s giant screen was lit up with magical, black and white images that were so full of emotion and life that my wife and I were both a blubbering mess the entire presentation. Again, this is the “Campbell Salgado experience” -- it’s WAY more than a photo session.  This is the story of your family, and it’s worth the investment in Campbell Salgado.
