give Grandma Leeth's a try! You'll be glad you did. <a href="http://grandmaleeths.com/Home.html" target="_blank">http://grandmaleeths.com/Home.html</a>
you gotta love a local place who's own tag-line includes:
"Grandma Leeth’s ® Restaurant
Raise Your Expectations."

Just stopped by here for the first time, and it was excellent! They were having a sale on frequent play passes and I snatched some up already.
My kids (3 and 1) both liked the play area and the staff was very laid-back. It's so rare to have decent food and a simple, hip atmosphere combined with consideration for the kiddos.
This is my new favorite meet-for-coffee spot.

**[Since first writing this in 2008, Me Too! has been true to their word, and they have expanded the menu options for adults. It now includes some tasty comfort items with my personal favorite being the "Pulled Pork Sandwich." Also, you can get Snapper or Salmon cooked to order, which is a nice touch. Great job to Me Too! for following through on the expansion of their menu!]

Yes...it's a delicate balance, because most family restaurant want to keep it simple for kids, and many kids do like that type of food. My kid did devour the mac and cheese, because it was good! However, our son just eats "scaled-down" versions of what we're having, and I think that might work at a restaurant.

Thank you for this great post, but more importantly, thank you for bringing up one of my frustrations -- kid's restaurant options! I'm so irritated by this. Please give me something with veggies (and not carrot sticks because my guy is still too little to eat those). He usually has what I have at restaurants (which sometimes leaves me hungry). One place I've noticed that has a slightly better selection for kids is Airplay Cafe. Howeve, your point about organic/local is so true. If any of these family restaurants had these options I would be in heaven.

Thanks again... love the blog!
